Getting oil out of the carpet

Spillage on carpets is common in households that have kids and pets. Sometimes, even careful adults might spill liquids on to the carpets.  Although it is not the end of the world, one should take careful considerations when you spill something on the carpet. Instantly cleaning it up is recommended to make sure that it does not leave a permanent stain. Oil and grease are some of the rarest stains on the carpet. However, if you do get oil on your carpet you need to take the following precautions and cleaning measures to clean your carpet.
·         Blot the stained areas as soon as possible in order to blot up as much oil as possible. Use an absorbent towel or paper tissues to suck up the oil.
·         Next, you can coat it with corn starch or baking soda to absorb the residue oils. Let it sit for up to 24 hours. Use a generous heap of powder, and thoroughly vacuum up the powders.
·         If the oils still prevail, you can use dish wash soap to degrease the carpet. Dish wash soap are designed to fight greasy stains, so using it can help remove oil spills easily. Add the detergent on the stain, and let a blotting paper sit over the stain for about a day before cleaning up with a little bit of water.
